Whether you find yourself in Inverness for a holiday, short-break or business trip, Aldon Cottage offers high quality accommodation and the perfect base for your stay in the city. Our cottage is fully non-smoking, with facilities including parking, free wi-fi, and Nespresso coffee machine. The city centre is just five minutes walk, where you can find the Tourist Information Office, Inverness Castle, the Museum, Eden Court Theatre and many popular restaurants and bars; Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness and many other sites are only a fifteen minute car journey away.
Our spacious, light and airy cottage is designed in contemporary style with comfort and relaxation in mind. The cottage has central heating throughout, with an open plan living/dining/kitchen area, a lounge area, front and rear garden, a large flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a bluetooth media system, along with a selection of books for your enjoyment, and tourist information folders for your information.
The fully integrated kitchen has NEFF appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, electric oven and hob. A Nespresso coffee machine with a selection of pods is available for your use. A washing machine and tumble dryer, ironing board and iron are also provided. The comfortable bedroom has a superking bed. There is a separate dressing room with ample storage and hairdryer.
The bathroom has a shower cubicle and separate bath, and modern fixtures and fittings. All bedding and towels, a selection of toiletries and cleaning products are provided. A welcome pack with some delicious snacks will be provided for you to enjoy. The cottage has its own furnished garden with outside drying facility.
If you wish, the cottage can be serviced for an additional cost of £10 per service.

An ideal base from which to tour the splendours of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness is situated on the stunning River Ness with its idyllic island walks accessed by several Victorian bridges. On the banks of the river you will also find a modern theatre (Eden Court), St Andrew's Cathedral built in 1869, and nearby the city's Museum and Art Gallery located next to the Castle and Tourist Information Centre. Inverness provides an excellent range of bars and restaurants to satisfy all tastes of the hungry and thirsty tourist.

Castles - Cawdor, Brodie and Dunrobin are all within easy driving distances of Inverness. Cawdor and Dunrobin, to this day, are still owned by descendants of the original families, whilst Brodie is owned by the National Trust for Scotland.
Culloden Moor/Battlefield - scene of the last battle fought on British soil (1746) and the end of the Jacobite fight to reclaim the throne. Within 10 minutes drive of the city you can be walking on the eerie moor or visit the excellent visitor centre run by the National Trust for Scotland.
Fort George - built after the battle of Culloden, this houses an excellent regimental museum of the Seaforth and Cameron Highlanders, although still in use as a regimental base.
Clava Cairns - chambered cairns and standing stones dating from 1500 to 2000BC situated next to Culloden battlefield.
There are numerous world famous whisky distilleries nearby including The Ord, Tomatin, Glenmorangie not forgetting those on the only Malt Whisky Trail in the world through beautiful Speyside which offers the splendours of Cardhu, Glenfiddich, the Glenlivet and the Macallan - a malt for all tastes! Malt Whisky tours are also available locally.
Enjoy a memorable boat trip through the Caledonian Canal and onto Loch Ness to take in the breathtaking scenery and get a chance to catch a glimpse of Nessie, the loch's own wee beastie! Alternatively seek out the local school of rare bottlenose dolphins on the equally beautiful Moray Firth with trips available from Inverness Harbour.

For sports enthusiasts there is a wide array of facilities available in and around the city including championship golf courses (Royal Dornoch, Nairn West), fishing, shooting, tenpin bowling, football, horseriding, aquadome and sports centre. Highland Games - these take place in most major towns throughout the summer. Inverness hosts its own games in July each year.
A varied range of goods can be purchased from the city's shopping centre (opened March 2003) or local hand made crafts, kilts and other traditional products from select stores.
